Correct the size of the waste connection for the water closets shown in the plumbing fixture schedule. Reference: Section 425.4, IPC 2018. 3. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018. 4. Appliances (e.g. beverage dispensers, ice makers, etc.) to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Section 608.14.1, IPC 2018 require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 608.1 and 608.3, IPC 2018. 5. Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 714.1, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson. 6. Revise detail 13/P6.1 to note that the air gap is to be between the pipe and the flood rim of the floor sink. Reference: Section 802.3.1, IPC 2018. 7. The 3” horizontal underground vent (keynote 8, P2.0) must rise vertically to at least 6” above the flood rims of the fixtures it protects prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2018. 8. Hand sinks (S-1) in the kitchen are allowed to connect to the sanitary waste system instead of the grease waste system only if each sink has a sign posted above it stating, “HANDWASH SINK ONLY! NO FOOD PREPARATION OR DISHWASHING ALLOWED.” Reference: Section 1003.3, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson. 9. Clarify the clearance note in detail 12/P6.1 that calls for the “right edge of water heater to be 15’-0” from face of stud (rear wall).” Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 10. Provide roof drainage and scupper size calculations based on the 100-year hourly rainfall rate for Tucson, 3” per hour. The governing code is the 2018 IPC, not the UPC. Reference: Sections 1101.7, 1106, and 1108, IPC 2018. 11. Verify the developed pipe lengths shown in the gas isometric on sheet P5.0 and adjust the pipe sizes as required. If the basis of the pipe sizes is actually 133 feet as noted, correct the size of the pipe branches to RTU-2 and to the two water heaters. Reference: Section 402.3, IFGC 2018. 12. Revise detail 12/P6.1 to provide a gas shut off valve immediately upstream of the natural gas sediment trap to comply with the requirements of Section 408.4, IFGC 2018.
