Sheet 1 of 2 No comments. Sheet 2 of 2 1. In 2nd & 4th paragraphs of Scope of Work, clarify if the 2”x6”x approx 3’ bridges that are double-stacked on the ends of the two 2”x6”x20” wood stringers and backrail are to be replaced with (like) new or to be removed and not replaced. 2. In 5th & 6th paragraphs of Scope of Work, add installation of (like) new wood bridge pieces referred to in Comment #1, if applicable. 3. Consider relocating 7th paragraph of Scope of Work to separate box below Scope of Work, but in either event provide more detail on the process of temporarily detaching and reattaching electrical parts throughout stringer replacement work, including: a) clarification that only detachment and reattachment is to occur, with existing electrical parts remaining assembled and in place throughout stringer replacement work; b) the number and location of the eight light arm support mounts (e.g., as to the latter, top stringer or 3rd stringer from the top) c) the number and location of ballasts, including fasteners; and d) conduit to be detached and reattached, including associated straps and fasteners. 4. Given age of billboard, add note: “Any excess parts no longer being used to be removed”. 5. In title of Existing Light Arm Support, revise “to remain” to read “to be temporarily detached in place during each stringer removal and reattached upon installation of new (like) replacement stringer” or similar. 6. In Side View and/or West Rear View Elevation (per Comment #7 below) depict existing 2” x 6” wood bridges referred to in Comment #1 above and indicate their disposition 7. Add West Rear View Elevation that shows electrical service, conduit to and from ballasts, ballasts, and eight light support arm mounts and generally identifies where parts are to be temporarily detached and reattached, including any replacement of fasteners or straps with (like) new 8. Add express note that work shall not include addition of metal collars or any other means of reinforcing existing wood support poles. |
