A wall or fence over six feet high may not be erected within the limits of a permiter yard without going through a Design Development Option (DDO). The application for the DDO is found at the following web address: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/pdsd/forms/DDO_for_Setback_and_Height_UDC_8.11.20.pdf. A. If the applicant would like to construct the wall to the 6 foot limit, please resubmit the plans reflecting that height. B. If the applicant chooses to apply for the DDO to increase the fence height to 7', the following is a transmittal required for the DDO submittal: 8615 E 24th St Residential Wall Height Increase TRANSMITTAL: 1/13/2021 COMMENTS: the following comments are relative to an application for a Design Development Option (DDO) (UDC 3.11.1). This site is located in the R-1 zone (UDC 4.7.1). A single-family residence (SFR) is a permitted use in this zone (Table 4.8-2). See Use-Specific Standards 4.9.7.B.5 - 9. 10. The maximum height of a wall or fence within a perimeter yard shall be six (6) feet (UDC Section 6.6.2.I). The maximum height of a retaining wall is ten (10) feet. The applicant is proposing an increase in fence height limit from 6' to 7' on the western lot line of the property. A DDO is required.
