Standard Notes for Planting in Right of Way

1. It is the owner's responsibility to keep the Sight Visibility Triangles (SVT), and the pedestrian access area clear of vegetation at all times, per Unified Development Code Technical Standards Manual section 10.
2. It is the owner responsibility to keep a 5' wide (minimum) by 7' tall clear pedestrian access open across the entire property.
3. It is the owner responsible to keep vegetation from growing past the curb line clear, and keep a 15' high clear zone over the travel lane.
4. Final plant locations must be in compliance with all utility setback requirements.
5. The owner understands that if the City of Tucson Department of Transportation & Mobility or any utility company needs to work within the ROW in the landscaped area, plants and irrigation may be destroyed without replacement or repair.
6. The owner takes full liability for this landscape and irrigation, and any damage to roadway, sidewalk and utilities.
7. The only private irrigation equipment that is allowed within the ROW are lateral lines, tubing and emitters that are not under constant pressure. All other equipment must be on private property (excluding water meter).
8. Contractor to obtain a ROW permit prior to construction within the ROW.

DTM Traffic Engineering comments on the 9290 Golf Links Rd (LTS Tucson Campus 2021) signing and striping plans:

1. Sheet 1, Signing Note 1: should refer to 2009 MUTCD, as that is the latest

2. Sheet 1, Signing Note 6: please change sheeting type to Type XI

3. Sheet 1, Signing Note 9: design speed of Golf Links Rd is 45 mph, and posted speed is 40 mph

4.Sheet 3, Striping Note 5: design speed of Golf Links Rd is 45 mph, and posted speed is 40 mph

5. Sheet 3, Striping Note 8: please revise to 90 mil (0.090"), and not hot-sprayed. Note should be as follows:
THE FINAL LONGITUDINAL STRIPING SHALL BE 90 MIL (0.090') THICK THERMOPLASTIC REFLECTORIZED STRIPING PLACED OVER THE TEMPORARY STRIPING WITHIN ยท14 TO 30 CALENDAR DAYS. AFTER COMPLETION OF THE FINAL PAVEMENT SURFACE, OR AS DIRECTED BY THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER. ALL OTHER MARKINGS SHALL BE APPLIED AT THE SAME TIME. TEMPORARY STRIPING SHALL BE PAINT.

9. Sheet 3: Per Sheet 4-7 of PC/COT Pavement Marking Design Manual, end WG6(2x6) and WG8(2x6) striping at end of turn bay taper/start of right turn storage (Sta 18+67). Begin WS6 and WS8 solid stripes at this location. Their end location looks appropriate, but the WS6 has a typo in the station callout where it ends

SUBJECT: Offsite Improvement Plans for Project LTS Tucson Campus 2021

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, TDOT, TDOT Eng. Review

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: TDOT Permit Review Section has reviewed the subject PIA paving plan and does not recommend approval at this time. The following comments need to be addressed and plans revised prior to resubmittal. Please include a response letter addressing the following comments and return redlined drawings with subsequent submittal.

1. Add the plan number "U-2020-011" in the title block of each sheet.

2. Add PIA activity number "T20PI00017" on coversheet.

3. Add the project development plan number on coversheet.

4. Sheet 1: Revise Paving Note 4 to indicate that the asphaltic concrete shall conform to PAG's Replacement Specification for Section 406 Asphaltic Concrete, dated December 12, 2019. Indicate proposed mix type and provide a pavement structural detail.

5. Sheet 1: Revise title block to include signatory titles as included in COT DTM Engineering Template. https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/transportation/Engineering_Plan_Templates_Dec_2019.pdf.

6. Sheet 3: Revise construction note 3 to indicate the proposed asphalt will match the existing pavement structural section per as-built plan I-89-21.

7. Sheet 3: The existing electrical cabinet located Sta. 20+10, 70 RT will have to be relocated outside of the site visibility triangle of the proposed driveway.

8. Sheet 3: Tie construction stationing to a survey monument.

9. Include striping and electrical plans to this plan.
