Identify each structure requiring permit on the site plan with size. Label each framing plan and detail with the same identification. Show size and type of each structrual fastener between the footer to the dwelling.

A carport or porch requires a clear 3 foot fire separation distance to the property line unless the structure includes a one-hour rated wall that is placed at the edge of the roof overhang. See IBC Table 721.1(2), Items 15-1.1 to 16-1.3 for a listing of fire rated materials.

A structural engineer may provide an analysis and sealed plans for structures not built with 2018 IRC minimum requirements.
