However, the revised plumbing calculation does not comply with the requirements of 2018 IBC Table 2902.1 (IPC 403.1). Since there are 91 women and 91 men to accommodate, each sex will require three water closets (1 per 25 for 1st 50, then 1 per 50 thereafter: 2 for 50 plus 0.82 for 41, rounded up = 3). 6 water closets total are needed and you show only 3 water closets for the entire facility. 2. Similarly, since there are 91 women and 91 men to accommodate, each sex will require three lavatories (1 per 40 for 1st 80, then 1 per 80 thereafter: 3 for 80 plus 0.14 for 11, rounded up = 3). 6 lavatories total are needed and you show only 3 lavatories for the entire facility. 3. Regarding the added note regarding single-user toilet facilities, the 2018 IPC 403.1.2 references the 2018 IBC 1109.2.1. Section 1109.2 pertains to accessibility and does not imply that single user toilet rooms are allowed in B occupancies instead of separate facilities for men and women which is required by 2018 IBC 2902.2. None of the exceptions in that Section apply to this facility. Provide separate facilities for each sex with 3 lavatories and 3 water closets minimum for each sex. 4. Please change the number of occupants in the Code Statistics for the multipurpose room to 1, 182 SF. 5. The architect's response to review comment 3 is that sheet G013 has been omitted. However, this sheet was retained in the resubmitted drawing set. Please delete. |
