The City of Tucson did not adopt ASHRAE Standard 62.1 for ventilation calculations and the 2018 IMC only references the ASHRAE Standard for the purpose of calculating the system ventilation efficiency (Ev). Provide calculations to show that the ventilation system is sized in accordance with Section 403.3, IMC 2018; for HVAC systems serving multiple zones (e.g. AC-5 and AC-6), see Section 403.3.1.1.2.3, IMC 2018. [Initial comment: The ventilation calculations ("Fresh Air Schedule") are based on the UBC and ASHRAE 62-1989. Provide calculations based on the current code to verify that adequate ventilation will be provided for the occupied spaces. Reference: Section 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018.] 2. Per the manufacturer of the specified temperature mixing valve, TV-1, it is not listed to ASSE Standard 1070 and, "…[it] cannot be used for tempering water temperature at fixtures." In addition, tempered water is defined as being between 89- and 110-degrees Fahrenheit. Reference: Sections 202, 303.2 and 419.5, IPC 2018 [Initial comment: Provide tempered water for the public restroom lavatories using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. (Why does the plumbing fixture schedule show no water connections for lavatory L-1?) Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2018.] 3. Section C404.5 requires a maximum distance of 2-feet from the hot water source to the lavatory stop valve when using ½" branch pipe.
