Show that the equipment is being installed in accordance with the conditions of its listing and the manufacturer's installation requirements. Note that none of the depictions of the roaster show the required cooling tray exhaust fan or the required chaff collector. Reference: Sections 301 and 304.1, IMC 2018. 2. Clarify the material for the exhaust vent; single or double wall, type of connections (frequent disassembly is required for cleaning), and specific type of thimble to penetrate the roof assembly. Reference: Sections 501.14 and 503.7.5, IFGC 2018. 3. Provide maintenance access space for the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. Reference: Sections 304.1 and 306.1, IMC 2018. 4. If the previous occupancy was not mercantile, provide calculations to verify that adequate ventilation will be provided for the occupied spaces. Reference: Section 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018. 5. Provide a roof plan to show the termination of the roaster exhaust system, how it relates to the existing rooftop equipment and compliance with Section 501.3.1 (1), IMC 2018 (the chaff from the roasting process is highly flammable). 6. Clarify the venting configuration for the roaster. Verify that termination of the exhaust vent with a Breidert cap meets with the manufacturer's installation instructions. 7. Show how adequate make-up air is to be provided to the room so that the room pressure remains essentially neutral. Reference: Section 501.4, IMC 2018. |
