06/26/2020 | ERIC NEWCOMB | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Sheet A-001: Please indicate on this sheet that the shelving (see Sheet A-102) may require a deferred submittal. Any shelving greater than 6' in height (including the stacked goods) up to 12' requires a detail on the drawings indicating the connection of the shelving to the floor. If the shelving (including the stacked goods) is over 12' in height, structural calculations are required along with details of the shelving. 2. Sheet A-100: Please indicate the Building Construction Type on this sheet, including whether sprinklered/non-sprinklered. 3. Sheet A-100; Egress Plan: Please indicate the Exit Access Travel Distances on the plan and verify those distances meet the requirements of the IBC Table 1017.2. 4. Sheet A-104; Reflected Ceiling Plan: The plan indicates one of the exits (at Door 104) at the exterior wall of the Back Room. Door 102 enters that Back Room. The Door/Hardware Schedule indicates Door 102 can be locked (Hardware Set 2). Per the IBC Section 1016.2(3), exit access shall not pass through a room that can be locked. Please verify. 5. Sheet A-301; Detail 28: At the top of the wall, a note indicates "Bracing As Required". The IBC Section 1607.15 indicates interior walls must have adequate strength and stiffness to resist a horizontal load of 5 PSF. Please call out bracing size, spacing, and connection to the wall and to the structure above, or provide structural calculations for the wall studs, indicating they have the strength and stiffness to resist that load. 6. General: Please provide north arrows to all plans. 7. General: Please provide written responses to all review comments. |
