04/29/2020 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Verify that the pipe sizes called out for the flush valves will not result in water velocities greater than that recommended by the pipe manufacturer (e.g. limit the water velocity to less than 8 FPS for copper, PEX, or CPVC piping). At a minimum design flow rate of 25 GPM for a siphonic, flush-valve water closet, a 1" Type L copper pipe has a flow velocity of 9.7 FPS. Reference: Table 604.3, IPC 2018.
2. Revise the mechanical energy efficiency input in COMcheck (sheet M5.0) for the water heaters; the proposed units are not storage-type water heaters. Reference: Section C404.2, IECC 2018.
3. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories in the women's restroom complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018.
4. Provide secondary (overflow) roof drainage. Reference: Sections 1108.1, 1108.2 and 1108.3, IPC 2018.
5. The gas schematic on sheet P2.2 shows the branch pipe for the 4-burner hot plate (53, 120 CFH) as ¾". At a developed length of 125-feet, a 1" branch pipe is required. Reference: Table 402.4 (2), IFGC 2018.

05/04/2020 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Clarify keynote 14 on sheet M1.0 that points to a grease exhaust duct. Should it be keynote 21? Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
2. Demonstrate energy code compliance for the building envelope using calculations based on the current code. Reference: Sections C101.5, C103.2, C303, and C401.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2018.
3. Show how one of the "Additional Efficiency Package Options" (C406, IECC 2018) is to be accomplished. The COMcheck mechanical compliance certificate indicates that reduced interior lighting power (Section 406.3, IECC 2018) will be used but the COMcheck interior lighting compliance certificate does not show that the reduced lighting power option has been used. Coordinate the compliance with the additional energy package options. Reference: Section C401.2, IECC 2018.
4. Show that the hood installations comply with Section 507.2.6, IMC 2018 with regard to a smooth, cleanable, non-absorbent, and non-combustible material installed between the hoods and the wall and extending 18" beyond the hoods.
5. Verify that the evaporative cooling section of the makeup air unit is equipped with a recirculating water system. Reference: Section 928.2, IMC 2018 and ARS Title 45, Chapter 1, Article 12. See text at: (http://www.azleg.gov/viewdocument/?docName=http://www.azleg.gov/ars/45/00313.htm).

2. The details shown on sheet A0.05 should match the details on Development Package DP16-0044, or DP16-0044 will need to be revised to match the details shown in this set of plans.

05/19/2020 ERIC NEWCOMB BUILDING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Sheets A0.09, A0.10, A1.11, Etc.: Please add north arrows to all plans.
2. Sheet A1.11; Egress Plan: The patio has 72 occupants, thus two exits are required from that space per the IBC Table 1006.3.3(2). The IBC Section 1028.1 indicates the exit discharge shall not reenter a building. The second exit from the patio should be added to this plan. Please verify.
3. Sheet A3.01; Floor Plan Keynotes: Keynote 23 was not located on this sheet. Please verify.
4. Sheet A5.01; Reflected Ceiling Plan: The exit that opens into the patio should not be marked with emergency exit lighting. Consider a second exit from the patio per comment 2.
5. Sheet A6.01; Fixture Plan: Please include a calculation on this sheet following the IBC Section 1109.11, indicating the required number of accessible seating/standing spaces. Indicate those items in the Seating Tabulation Table.
6. Sheet A9.01; Elevation 1: Please verify the bold note on this elevation.
7. Sheets S2.1 and S2.2; Plans: Please verify the north arrows match the direction shown on the architectural sheets.
8. General: Please provide a Special Inspection Certificate with Parts A and B completed. Go to www.tucsonaz.gov/PDSD to find this form.
