This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, please provide two sets of updated plans and calculations with a written response to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2018 International Residential Code and 2018 International Energy Conservation Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. COMMENTS: Provide a set of construction plans for review and determining compliance with 2018 IRC building code. Provide a site plan showing distance from property line to the proposed carport. Each structure requires a 3-foot fire separation distance from the property line, R302.1 (City of Tucson Amended). Show one-hour fire-resistive framed construction in compliance with IBC Table 721.1(2) when the structure is within the fire separation distance. Provide a proposed carport roof framing plan and structure section view. Show dimensions, materials and fasteners. Provide a floor plan of the enclosed existing carport (scale: ΒΌ" = 1') with room usage labels, dimensions, window and door locations. Provide a wall section detail of proposed walls with notation of materials, fasteners and sizes. Provide a plan showing electrical and mechanical components.
