Re: Design Professional Review for Building Revisions

The purpose of this review is to provide a Design Professional Review for the changes being proposed the North
Building of the Benedictine Monastery for compliance with the developments standards outlined in the PAD-37
documents, approved by Mayor and Council on September 17, 2019.

Items reviewed are revised construction document plan sheets identified by Delta 32, dated 3/17/21 and a Permit
Revision Letter dated 8/2/21. Changes being proposed are the conversion of a roof to an occupiable roof deck -
located at the southwest corner of the North Building on level 2.

· Per PAD-37 Development standards: "Rooftop amenities will be allowed in the step-down areas of the
building" (part 3.C.2). The proposal conforms to allowable heights and is located at level 2 of the 3-story
building.
· Applicant shall ensure that lighting at the rooftop deck shall conform with City of Tucson Lighting code
per PAD-37 (part 3.C.11).

As the Design Professional, I recommend approval of these changes.
