03/27/2019 | JSANDER1 | DOT_ELEC | REVIEW | Denied | This pole will not work. Sheet A-3: The existing Type-1 streetlight poles that have the luminaire mounted at 40 FT use a 35 FT tall vertical shaft. The arm rises up 5 FT to make the 40 FT height. Here they propose using a pole that has the streetlight arm mounted at 30 FT and an arm that rises up 10 FT to make the 40 FT height. The only arm available to them is an arm similar to the one used on the Grant Rd installation which resembles the arms we use on the Type 2 A poles, "bent poles" as some people call them. This will not be symmetrical to existing arms. Sheet S-1 the drawing 1 does not indicate the correct luminaire mounting of 40 FT. Sheet G-1 N.T.S. 5 (Grounding Details) remove neutral wire and replace with a #12 Black 240 Volt wire. Remove the wire nut and the fuse to indicate a continuous #12 run from the City J-Box (pull box). The HEB-AA fuses will be located in the pull box not in the hand hole. The drawing on G-1 N.T.S. 5 needs to look like the drawing provided via email to applicant. |
