03/19/2020 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Reqs Change Revise the domestic water service entry detail on sheet P401. [Initial comment: Reduced pressure backflow prevention assemblies are required to be installed in locations accessible to Tucson Water. Reference: Chapter XXVII, Article V, Section 27-72, the Tucson Code, http://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/water/docs/backflow-ordinance.pdf]
03/19/2020 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Recheck the arithmetic in your Gas Load Calculations. There are two errors which lead you to an incorrect total gas load at the meter. [Initial comment: Verify that all of the gas loads have been accounted for in the gas load calculations table on sheet P001. Reference: Section 402.2, IFGC 2018.]
2. Show the calculations you used to determine the sizes of the gas piping. [Initial comment: Verify the size of the gas pipe downstream of RTU-3, 850 MBH at 400 feet requires a 1-1/4" pipe based on Table 402.4 (5), IFGC 2018.]
3. The WMB is still labeled as "WCB" on sheet P301 and the lint trap is still missing. [Initial comment: What is a WCB (on sheet P301); is it the WMB (on sheet P002)? If so where is the lint trap (LT-1)? Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018]
4. Revise the plumbing plans so that the vent can physically rise vertically above the flood rim of the fixture they serve. A simple note does not cure the problem. [Initial comment: Verify that all of the vents (except for vents serving interceptors located outdoors) rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the fixtures they protect prior to running horizontally (e.g. floor and trench drains). Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2018.]
5. Replot sheets P301 and P302 so that the lettering is legible. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
03/20/2020 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change Sheets M001, M101, M102, M103, and M501 are not legible. Replot and resubmit.
03/25/2020 DAN SANTA CRUZ ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change Please address the following electrical plan review comments. Also provide a written response.
1. The total proposed lumen output for the exterior lighting exceeds 100,000 lumens per acre, therefore a special inspection is required per section 106.2. Please change the wording on the lumen calculations to state that a special inspection is required. Per section 104.2.2, 106.2(1).
2. Provide luminaire manufacturer cut sheets for the exterior lighting to verify shielding and lamp color temperature. Section 104.2(2).
