06/29/2021 | ARUIZ1 | 3RD PARTY REVIEW-COMMERCIAL | AT 3RD PARTY OFFICE | Completed | ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS Sheets a105, a106, and a300 1. The notes clarifying the fire-resistive horizontal assemblies for this Type V-B building are misleading. a. Floor/Ceiling Assembly: 2018 IBC Sec. 722.2.2 is referenced for this floor/ceiling assembly; however, Sec. 722.2.2 regards self-supporting concrete floor/ceiling or roof ceiling assemblies and not a heavy timber system that is covered by lightweight reinforced concrete, unless you are saying that the heavy timber is not essential for the support of the lightweight reinforced concrete. The “clarification”needs to correctly “clarify” the fire-resistive construction. {I suspect that the floor ceiling assembly does meet the required fire resistive rating, however an accurate code citation is required for proper “clarification”.} b. Roof/Ceiling Assembly: 2018 IBC Sec. 722.2.2 is referenced for this roof/ceiling assembly at the corridor; however, Sec. 722.2.2 regards self-supporting concrete floor/ceiling or roof ceiling assemblies and not a metal deck with a reinforced lightweight concrete covering, supported by steel bar joists. The “clarification” needs to correctly “clarify” the fire-resistive construction. {Since this building is of Type V-B Construction, the only required fire-resistive assemblies are those separating occupancies or protecting exit elements, so what is the requirement for a fire-resistive roof/ceiling assembly? The fire partitions and fire barriers extend all the way to the roof deck, so the roof/ceiling assembly is not part of any required separation.} Sheet a407 1. The storefront elevation does not reflect the change in the storefront window and door shown in the floor plan; please coordinate. STRUCTURAL COMMENTS There are no comments. MECHANICAL COMMENTS General 1. The change narrative indicates an “update in routing”, however there doesn’t appear to be any changes in duct routing when compared to the revisions Stantec approved on February 22, 2021; please clarify. {The latest “approved” sheet approved by Stantec on February 22, 2021 and the newly revised sheet both have Delta 1; so, what is the difference?} Sheet m100 1. The new IT Room is not shown in the background of this revised sheet; if it were there it might be noticed that the access panel straddles the wall forming the IT Room and will be unopenable. Please coordinate. PLUMBING COMMENTS Sheets p000, p210, p200, p400, p410, p500 1. The change narrative indicates an “update in routing”, however there doesn’t appear to be any changes in plumbing routing on these sheets when compared to the revisions Stantecapproved on February 22, 2021; please clarify. {The latest “approved” sheet approved by Stantec on February 22, 2021 and the newly revised sheet both have Delta 1; so, what is the difference?} ELECTRICAL COMMENTS Sheets ed101, e101, e501, e601, and e701 1. The change narrative indicates an “update to IT related changes”, however there doesn’t appear to be any changes when compared to the revisions Stantec approved on February 22, 2021; please clarify. {The latest “approved” sheet approved by Stantec on February 22, 2021 and the newly revised sheet both have Delta 1; so, what is the difference?} Sheet e201 1. This submitted “revised sheet” is no different than the sheet approved by the City on February 2, 2020; there is no delta on this sheet. However, the sheet does require change since a revised sheet was not submitted with the Delta approved back on February 22, 2021 so currently the background of this sheet does not match the rest of the approved plans. Sheet e402 1. This sheet has a Delta 2 dated February 18, 2021, however the information on this sheet does not differ from the same sheet that Stantec approved on February 22, 2021 (i.e. Delta 1); so what is the difference?
