If PEX tubing is used for water distribution, provide a guide for the contractor convert the copper pipe sizes shown on the drawing to the appropriate size for PEX tubing. Reference: Section 303.2, IPC 2018. 2. If PEX tubing is used for water distribution, provide an approved method of disinfection that will not expose the PEX tubing to excessive levels of chlorine. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 610.1, IPC 2018. 3. Provide separate indirect waste pipes for each compartment of the 3-compartment sink to protect against cross-contamination or fouling. Reference: Sections 801.2 and 802.1.1, IPC 2018. 4. Hand sinks in the kitchen are allowed to connect to the sanitary waste system instead of the grease waste system only if each sink has a sign posted above it stating, "HANDWASH SINK ONLY! NO FOOD PREPARATION OR DISHWASHING ALLOWED." Reference: Section 1003.3, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson. 5. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatories complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018. |

Revise the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fan so that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted (i.e. all of the air supplied to each restroom is to be exhausted during the hours of operation even if the lights are off). The exhausted air from the restrooms shall be limited to no more than 10% of any subsequent supply air stream. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2018. 2. Provide information to show that the termination of the restroom exhaust fans complies with the requirements of Section 501.3.1 (3), IMC 2018. 3. Show how the proposed termination of the Type I exhaust duct and exhaust fan complies with requirements of Sections 506.3.13.3 and 506.5.6, IMC 2018. |
