| 06/28/2019 | JPEELDA1 | FIRE | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Code sheet references smoke detectors and fire alarm system? Is the occupancy non-seperated? If it is, the most restrictive would be used and that is the A occupancy. Smoke detectors are required for a R2 but would cause false alarms in an area like this. If still required we would recommend heat detectors. Please clarify |

| 07/15/2019 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Termination of the excess pressure relief from the water heater over an elevated service sink is not an approved location. Reference: Section 504.6 (6), IPC 2018. 2. Clarify how the water heater pan drain can terminate over a service sink with a rim that is 15" higher than the pan outlet. Reference: Section 504.7.2, IPC 2018. 3. Coordinate the flowrate of the recirculation pump, RP-1, shown in detail 1/P3 with the plumbing fixture specifications. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 4. Detail 1/P3 shows the cold water shut off valve located between the cold-water check valve and the expansion tank; is this correct? Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 5. Verify that the distance to the hot water termination from the hot water source complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018. 6. Verify that the vent for the grease interceptor will rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rim of the interceptor prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2018. 7. A dishwasher may not discharge through a hydromechanical grease interceptor. Verify how the discharge from the dishwasher can be accommodated by the hydromechanical grease interceptor with the Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department. Reference: Section 1003.3, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson. 8. | 07/15/2019 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Revise detail 1/M4 to indicate the current codes and the display the minimum slope for the grease exhaust duct. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018 and Section 506.3.7, IMC 2018. 2. Provide cleanouts for the grease exhaust duct that are no further than 20-feet apart. Reference: Sections 506.3.9, IMC 2018. 3. Section 506.3.11.2, IMC 2018 requires field-applied duct enclosures to continuously enclose the grease exhaust duct from the origin of the grease exhaust duct to the termination of the duct. A protective barrier is required in locations where physical damage of the grease exhaust duct is possible. 4. The grease exhaust fan, EF-1, appears to be within five-feet of the two evaporative coolers especially if the fan inlet duct is drawn 60" long per detail 5/M4. Clarify the scroll orientation and show any extension of the fan outlet needed to obtain an outlet height of 40" above the roof surface. Reference: Sections 506.3.13.1 and 506.3.13.3, IMC 2018. |
