03/05/2019 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. The civil utility plan cannot be "for reference only" as it is the document that will be used to construct the building sewer and water service to the building. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 2. Provide sheet FS-2 as noted on sheets P1.2 and P2.1. 3. Southwest Gas, the local gas utility, provides natural gas at 7" WG, 2 PSIG, and 5 PSIG. Appliances needing gas service at 7" WG or greater (e.g. the fryers and the griddle) will require a gas meter that delivers at least 2 PSIG gas into a regulator located after the meter set. Clarify the location of the regulator. Reference: Section 402.1, IFGC 2018. 4. Revise the configuration of the natural gas trap, as shown in detail 1/P4.1, to comply with the requirements of Section 408.4, IFGC 2018 (i.e. the sediment trap is to be located downstream of the appliance shutoff valve, as close to the appliance as possible). 5. Verify that the specified automatic faucets for the lavatories will dispense a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle and that cycle will operate for at least 10-seconds. Reference: Section 419.6, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09. 6. Provide tempered water for the public restroom lavatories using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2018. 7. Provide a low-pressure cutoff for the booster pump per Section 606.5.5, IPC 2018. 8. Appliances (e.g. soda dispensers, ice makers, etc.) to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Section 608.14.1, IPC 2018 require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 608.1 and 608.3, IPC 2018. 9. The rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole (2478.95') is higher than the first floor elevation (2478.42'). Provide a backwater valve per Section 714.1, IPC 2018, as amended by the City of Tucson. 10. Coordinate the design of the roof drainage with the architect; keynote 3 and detail 2/A-4 shows primary and secondary roof drains as well as overflow scuppers; the building sections on A-8 and A-9 show 6" primary and secondary roof drains. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. |

Reference: Section C403.1.1, IECC 2018. 2. Clarify why the specifications for the roof top units show a gross cooling capacity of 180 MBH while the mechanical COMcheck description shows a 210 MBH cooling capacity.
