Change this to 0.50 max. for fixed fenestration, 0.65 max. for operable fenestration, and 0.83 for entry doors. Ref. 2018 IECC Table C402.4. Detail 3/A5.2 shows stucco for wall system 1 terminating a joint width above sidewalk. This does not comply with the 2018 IBC 2512.1.2 where stucco weep screeds shall be located at or below foundation plate lines and minimum 2” above paved surfaces. This is correctly specified by note 1 in the description for Exterior Wall Assembly 1 on sheet A5.0. The Architect may propose an alternative weep screed detail by an Appeal to the Building Official. Find the Appeal to the Building Official form under the link “All Application Forms & Submittal Requirements” on the City of Tucson Planning & Development Services website. New exterior wall infills shall be insulated to comply with the 2018 IECC Table C402.2. For steel framed construction the minimum insulation is R-13 cavity insulation between studs and a layer of continuous R-5 insulation. Place this note on the floor plan, sheet A1.0. According to the Plumbing Schedule on kitchen equipment sheet K-3, two combi ovens and a relocated coffee brewer will require domestic cold water connections. Per 2018 IPC section 608.14 these appliances require backflow protection. Please have the kitchen equipment sheets revised to identify how this will be achieved. The note “per local codes” in the requirements column of the schedule is not sufficient. Submit a Special Inspection Certificate for special inspections required, i.e. epoxy anchors. You can find this Certificate on the City of Tucson Planning & Development Services website. |
