01/22/2019 | ERIC NEWCOMB | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Sheet SP1-1; Site Plan: A note below Canopy 4B indicates a 4' separation of arrays if the combined area is greater than 8500 SF. The City of Tucson requires that separation to be 5'-0" minimum (each canopy roof is at least 2'-6" from imaginary property line). Please revise the separation of Canopies 4A and 4B. The columns are allowed to be 5'-0" minimum from the imaginary property line, therefore must be 10'0" minimum from face of column to face of column. 2. Sheet S4 (Plan View); Structural Calculations (Page 92): The calculations indicate the steel column as a W14x38, while the plan indicates a W14x34. Please clarify. 3. Sheet S5; Detail 101: Note 3 indicates 12 gauge prulins at 101A. Is that purlin size indicated in the drawings or calculations presented here? Remove from this sheet as required. 4. General: It would be helpful in the future if the steel frame model indicated in the calculations (Pages 25, 55, and 78 in this set) references the canopy number as shown in the drawing. 5. General: Please provide written responses to all review comments. Reviewed by Eric Newcomb Contact at 520-837-4911 or Eric.Newcomb@tucsonaz.gov |

01/31/2019 | DAN SANTA CRUZ | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Please address the following electrical plan review comments. Also provide a written response. 1. Identify the FEEDER TAP J- BOX and the SERVICE AC DISCONNECT That is feeding the existing loads in the elevation drawing that also correlates with the line diagrams. The elevation drawing will help to reference distances between equipment. 2. The 480/277 volt service main circuit breaker is required to have a Ground Fault Interrupting device per 230.95, 240.13. This is not shown on the line diagrams. This being the case, a load side PV Interconnection is not allowed per NEC 705.12D(3). Revise the design to show a supply side interconnection. 3. Provide a detailed drawing showing the rack or steel canopy grounding for each canopy. Ref; 2012 IBC sec 107.2.1, 2011 NEC. Dan.santacruz@tucsonaz.gov. |
