A note on Sheet 8 indicates the C8 x 11.5 was selected. The moment of inertia and section modulus for the C8 are 32.5 inches^4 and 8.14 inches^3 from the calculations on Page 10. The moment of inertia and section modulus for the two purlins are 7.936(2) = 15.872 inches^4 and 1.984(2) = 3.968 inches^3. How are these sections comparable? Please verify. 3.
