11/09/2018 | PIMA COUNTY | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Reviewer: Chris Anderson, November 6, 2018 BUILDING – COMMERCIAL Regarding response to previous building review comment 2: a) please remove the R Value Calculations on sheet G100. The COMcheck method used requires only that you plug in the insulation values. Values for other materials in the wall assembly are calculated internally by COMcheck, b) the values shown in the revised COMcheck are R-11.4 for cavity insulation and R-7.7 for the continuous insulation. What manufacturer/products provide insulation with these values? The building inspector will be looking for printed R-values on the installed product or to verify compliance. Regarding response to previous building comment 3: the wall type legend on sheet A201 has been revised to show conflicting information. R-values for continuous and cavity insulation have been added under the pictogram that match what is now shown in the COMcheck (see building comment 1 above); however the written description to the right of the pictogram gives completely different R-values for continuous and cavity insulation. On Wall Sections, sheets A602 and A603, revise keynote 4 to add R-value for 2 ½” cavity insulation. Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1. Regarding response to previous building comment 7: the R-value added for the 2 ½” stud cavities is shown as R-8. This does not match the COMcheck (see building note 2 above). Please revise insulation values in the documents so that the wall types schedule, COMcheck and keynotes for wall sections match. |

11/09/2018 | PIMA COUNTY | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | ELECTRICAL Regarding response to previous electrical comment 1, please revise note 1 on detail 1/E101 “Refer to structural sheets for footing detail.” Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1. Regarding response to previous building comment 3, required outdoor lighting information was not submitted in tabular form as requested. Per previous comment, “please submit outdoor lighting lumen calculations in accordance with the 2012 City of Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code Table 401.1. Select a commercial lighting option for lighting area E3 and provide calculations in tabular form for allowable total lumens (fully shielded plus unshielded) and for total allowable unshielded lumens. The proposed total lumens and the proposed unshielded fixtures lumens shall match or be less than the allowable lumens. For each fixture indicate “fully shielded” or “unshielded”. Refer the definitions for each in the OLC. The photometric site plan on sheet E101 does not provide the information required” in a form that is easily reviewed. |
