Submit heating and cooling load calculations summary sheets to show that the building envelope components used in the calculations match the architectural drawings and that calculations were run for 104-degrees F summer db and 66-degrees F summer wb design temperatures, and 32-degrees F winter db design temperature. Ref. City of Tucson amendment to the 2012 IECC.
The Package Heat Pump schedule, sheet M103, indicates the capacities for RTU’s 1 and 2 are based on 115-degrees F summer db ambient temperature. The ASHRAE summer db design temperature in Tucson is 104-degrees F. Reselect cooling equipment based on stated design temperature. Ref. City of Tucson amendment to the 2012 IECC.
The Mechanical Load Summary on sheet M103 indicates 39,235 btuh (3.26 tons) difference between the selected cooling units’ capacity and the calculated cooling load.
