Please submit heating and cooling load calculations to justify the addition of a 5-ton RTU (RTU-12) in this existing showroom and additional ductless DSS-2 in the conference room. Load calculations and unit selection must utilize 104-degrees F as the summer db design temperature with 66-degrees F as the design wet bulb temperature, and 32-degrees F as the winter db design temperature per City of Tucson amendment to the 2012 IECC. Heating and cooling loads must be shown to be in compliance with the 2012 IECC Section 403.2.

Roof Plan General Notes on sheet A121 refer to pre-engineered metal roofing. Please remove reference to metal roofing as does not appear to apply to this project. Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1.
Likewise, there are no references on the roof plan or exterior elevations for roof gutters as shown by detail on sheet A121. Please key to the roof plan or remove detail. Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1.
Per ICC/ANSI A117.1 – 2009 Section 303.2 the maximum vertical change of level is ½”. Please add this vertical dimension to details FT-7, FT-10, and FT-18 on sheet A132.
Draftstop details 2A and 2B, sheet A145 do not appear to be keyed to plans. Please key details to locations on the reflected ceiling plan, sheet A141. Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1.
Wall insulation for exterior wall infill and replaced portions shall be minimum R-13 batt insulation between metal studs and a layer of R-5 continuous insulation per 2012 IECC Table C402.2. Please call this out on wall section 2/A321, 1/A323 and elsewhere as occurs in the plan set.
Please submit EIFS manufacturer’s standard details and written instructions for EIFS termination at sills to confirm that what is shown in details 5, 16, and 18, sheet A523, is acceptable. No weeps or other mechanism for draining moisture that may have penetrated the wall system to the exterior is shown. Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1.
On sheet A621 please add the note “Egress doors shall be readily openable from the egress side without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort.” To the door hardware legend. Ref. 2012 IBC 1008.1.9.
On sheet A621, in the immediate vicinity of the window and door schedules, please add the note “Fixed fenestration shall have a maximum U-factor or 0.50, operable fenestration shall have a maximum U-factor of 0.65, and entrance doors shall have a maximum U-factor of 0.85. All glazed fenestration shall have a maximum SHGC of 0.25. Roll-up doors shall have a minimum R-value of 0.75 and swinging opaque doors shall have a maximum U-factor of 0.61.” Ref. 2012 IECC Tables C402.2 and C402.3. Please coordinate these values with the specifications.
On the Door Family types & Definitions elevations, sheet A621, please indicate which glazing is safety glazing. Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1.
On storefront and entrances elevations, sheet A701, please also show entrance glazing as safety glazing (T).
It appears that many of the partition types shown on sheets A721 and A722 do not apply to this project based on the floor plan, sheet A102. Please add boxed notes on each of these sheets to that affect. Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1.
There are UL design details on sheets A723 and A724. Do any of these assemblies apply in this project? If not, omit sheet for clarity. Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1.
