Previous Comment 1 (from 8-27-18); Sheet A1.0; Allowable Area Calculation: This calculation indicates the IBC Section 508.3.2 (should be Table 503) an A-3 occupancy with IIIB construction has an allowable area of 19,000 SF. Table 503 indicates an allowable area of 9500 SF. The next portion of this calculation indicates 19,000x.5x1, which indicates a frontage increase in the area (see Section 506). It does not appear from the site plan this project can use the frontage increase. Please verify. The last portion of this calculation indicates 19,000(2), which is the area increase due to an automatic sprinkler system (see Section 506.3). Please revise the allowable area calculation to indicate 9500 + 9500(2) = 28,500 SF per floor.
2. Previous Comment 2 (from 8-27-18); Special Inspections: A Special Inspection Certificate was not provided. This certificate should be provided by the structural engineer of record. A blank certificate has been included for reference. Please contact the structural engineer of record to provide the special inspections required and the ICC certified individuals to address those special inspections.
