In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2012 International Residential Code, 2012 International Fire Code, 2011 National Electrical Code and Arizona Revised Statutes. All features were checked to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Make all corrections and revisions on original tracings or a finished reproducible set. Return two sets along with a set of the first submission for reference. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. (Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions). Incorporate changes on originals and provide two copied sets for review. DIAGRAMS / CALCULATIONS 1. The panel bus and feeder conductors placed between the two source breakers require a rating not less than 120% of the sum of those breakers, NEC 690.64 & 705.12 (D). The distribution PANEL BUS and FEEDER CONDUCTOR (7) require a rating for receiving electrical power from two sources. Both the distribution panel bus and feeder conductor require ratings not less than 133A for the source breakers (100A & 60A) as shown. All conductive components between the breakers supplying electrical energy must meet the 120% sizing rule per 2011 NEC 690.64 & 705.12 (D). The subpanel feeder is considered as a bus extension to the breaker supplying the utility electricity. Therefore, many times when back feeding a subpanel the feeder requires a larger size than normal. This condition may be avoided by back feeing the main panel rather than a subpanel.
