BUILDING – COMMERCIAL
On the code analysis, sheet A.1, it says that restrooms are located on site in adjacent building. Show where they are located on the site plan and provide plumbing calculations for the adjacent building to show that the facilities are adequate for both the existing building and new welding shop. Ref. 2012 IBC Table 2902.1.
It appears from the wall sections on sheet A.2 that the R-30 roof and wall insulation will be new. This arrangement is not prescriptive to the 2012 IECC Table C402.2. Submit a building envelope COMcheck that includes exterior walls, roof and all doors. The R-30 insulation shall be shown as “cavity” in the COMcheck. Also include the selected door U-factors in the door and hardware schedule. These U-factors must be the same as shown in the envelope COMcheck.
Enlarge the scrim information box on sheet A.2 so that the text is minimum 3/32” to comply with City of Tucson standard.
Item K on sheet A.6 is “MSDS HAZMAT cabinet.” Please provide information on hazardous materials and quantities to be reviewed per 2012 IBC Section 415.
