02/04/2019 | PIMA COUNTY | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | ELECTRICAL – COMMERCIAL Regarding your response to previous electrical comment 3 that Tucson Electric Power has approved two separate electrical services for this building you must submit an Appeal to the Building Official providing justification for the additional 600A service. The 2011 NEC 230.2 limits one electric service per building unless permitted by exceptions 230.2(A) through (D). None of the exceptions appear to apply. Per previous electrical review comment 4, “the exit sign shown at the door to the kitchen on the east wall of the Freedom Hall space should be located over the door to the exterior on the west wall of this space per the architectural ceiling plan. Coordinate with the Architect so that both plans show the same information.” Ref. 2012 IBC 107.2.1. Regarding response to previous electrical review comment 5, the light fixture schedules (on sheets E-3.0 and E-4.0 are still conflicting. The schedule on sheet E-3.0 does not seem to match what is shown on the lighting plan (fixture A is shown on the plan as a 2x4 but in the schedule on this sheet as a round fixture), does not match the light fixture schedule on sheet E-4.0, and the lighting cut sheets on sheet E-8.0 are in conflict with either fixture schedule. Go through all light fixture references in the electrical sheets for each fixture type and coordinate the information. Uncoordinated information will not be approved. |

Broadway Boulevard Suite. #01 TRANSMITTAL DATE: February 21, 2019 DUE DATE: February 21, 2019 COMMENTS: Please resubmit revised drawings and any redlined plans along with a detailed response letter, which states how all Zoning Review Section comments were addressed. 1. COMMENT: Zoning has done a cursory review of the building plans. Prior to a more comprehensive review by zoning the DP18-0105 must be reviewed and approved prior to zoning approval of the building plans. While the cursory review did not reveal any major issues with the proposal, zoning cannot verify that the building plans are consistent with what has been proposed and drawn on the DP. 2. COMMENT: Zoning will review the building plans and exterior work and compare it to the DP as it relates to the zoning review purview such as building footprint, height, square footage, site conditions etc. However zoning cannot approve the building plans until the Commercial Plans reviewer(s) have approved the building plans. 3. COMMENT: If any changes are necessary to the building plans due to plan review comments that affect zoning requirements the DP will have to be revised to reflect the changes. Once the DP is approved by all reviewers and the building plans are approved by the Commercial Plans reviewers zoning can approve the building plans. 4. COMMENT: It does not appear that the DP has been submitted for review. It appears that the DP is in "Applied" status as of May 2018 with only an Engineering review done.
