| 05/16/2018 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Comment not addressed. Both the primary drain and the overflow drain have dome covers. See the manufacturer's information for the specified roof drain assembly and detail 2/P2.1. [Initial comment: The depiction of the overflow roof drain in Detail 13/D-2.0 is incorrect. Verify that the roof drains used for the secondary (overflow) roof drainage system conform to ASME A112.6.4 0r ASME A112.3.1. Reference: Section 1102.6, IPC 2012.] 2. Now that the patio roof drains have been replaced with a scupper, provide overflow protection for the roof (i.e. a second scupper of equal capacity but located 2" higher than the low point of the roof. Reference: Sections 1101, 1106 and 1108, IPC 2012. [Initial comment: The size of the horizontal storm drainage piping for the patio roof is not included in Table 1106.3; revise the size of the pipe. Reference: Section 1106.3, IPC 2012.] 3. Provide structural calculations for the mounting shelf for the 590-pound water heater to show that the water heater will be safely supported from the building structure. Reference: Section 301.2, IPC 2012. [Initial comment: Coordinate the specifications of the water heater with the architect; the architect calls for a gas-fired water heater on sheet A-3.0 (keynote 9).] |
