05/29/2018 | PIMA COUNTY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | PLUMBING – COMMERCIAL In regards to previous plumbing comment 1 response, the question has not been answered. “The Plumbing Fixture Schedule, sheet P2.0, indicates faucet: F-1, flush valve: FV-1, carrier: C-1, etc. Where are the items corresponding to the identification marks found? They do not appear in the drawing set or the Specifications that I can find.” For example, there is no specification for faucet F-1 in either the drawing set or the specification manual. This information for all of these items is needed both for the plans reviewer and the bidding contractor. Ref. 2012 IPC 106.3.1. In regards to previous plumbing comment 2 response, the A/E has changed to faucet description in the Plumbing Fixture Schedule, sheet P2.0, to “0.25 GPM.” However, it is unlikely that the metering cycle for the lavatory faucet is 1 minute long. Please change this note to “0.25 GPC.” Ref.: City of Tucson amendment to the 2012 IPC. |
05/29/2018 | FRODRIG2 | WATER | REVIEW | Reqs Change | WATER – COMMERCIAL In regards to previous water comment 1 response, the table added to sheet P2.0 only provides the total gallons per minute load. This information is insufficient to verify meter size and service distribution line. What is the maximum developed length? What is the utility water pressure at this location? What is the friction loss per 100’ of pipe? These values are needed to use 2012 IPC Figure E103.3 and TableE201.1. Also, where in the 2012 IPC are the GPM values shown in this table for each plumbing fixture type located? The values in the Table do not correspond to the values given in 2012 IPC Table 604.3. |
05/29/2018 | PIMA COUNTY | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | ELECTRICAL – COMMERCIAL Regarding response to previous electrical comment 4, without approved outdoor lighting lumen calculations which will include exterior light fixtures attached to this building, a building permit for this work cannot be issued. This project adds exterior light fixtures that must be added to the lighting count calculated in the work of site (parking lot) lighting project P17CM00976. From the P17CM00976 lighting calculations the total allowable lumens for this site is 10, 927,200 lm and the unshielded portion of the total lumens cannot exceed 690,800 lm. The parking lighting project used 2,107,264 lm, so 10,927,200 lm – 2,107,264 lm = 8,819,916 lm total lumens available; and the total unshielded lumens used by the parking lighting is 11,065 lm therefore 690,800 lm – 11,065 lm = 679,735 unshielded lumens available. Please add this information to sheet MPE2.1 and subtract the total lumens and unshielded lumens that will be used by your selected exterior light fixtures for this project to arrive at total available lumens and total available unshielded lumens for future development on this site. |
