This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, please provide two sets of updated plans and calculations with a written response to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions. GENERAL COMMENTS: 1. Provide ΒΌ" = 1' scaled drawings with legible notation (minimum 3/32" lettering). Remove sheet E4.1 and provide separate support documents if necessary. FLOOR PLANS: 1. Exterior walls with a fire separation distance less than 3-foot require not less than one-hour fire-resistive construction. Show compliance with R302.1 (City of Tucson Amended) by replacing kitchen and bathroom windows (926 N 2nd St) with materials prescribed in IBC Table 721.1(2), Items 15-1.1 to 16-1.3, or establish a no-build easement. 2. Individual dwelling units in duplexes must be separated by a 1-hour fire rated wall from floor to bottom of roof sheathing without opening other than limited utility penetrations, R302.4. Notate compliance for the existing wall between 928 and 930 N. 2nd Ave. PLUMBING PLANS: 1. Show an individual accessible water supply shut off for each dwelling unit, P2903.9.1. 2. Tucson Water Department limits flow rates for each water meter size in compliance with P2903.7. Show an appropriate existing size or proposed water meter upgrade. MECHANICAL PLANS: 1. Show impact protection for appliances located in the garage, M1307.3.1. (926 N 2nd St) 2. Provide demand calculations in accordance with Manual J/S/D standards, M1401.3, M1601.1. Systems shall be sized in accordance with Manual S based on building loads calculated in accordance with Manual J and duct systems sized in accordance with Manual D. Notate if the mechanical system calculations may be provided by deferred submittal. The deferred calculations must be approved through revision process prior to mechanical inspections. ELECTRICAL PLANS: 1. Protect all interior 15A & 20A proposed outlets (except garage, kitchen, and bathrooms) including receptacles, lights and smoke detectors with combination type arc-fault circuit interrupters, E3902.12. Update note #D with "bedroom" limitation. 2. Provide notation requiring tamper resistant receptacles for 125 volt, 15A and 20A receptacles, R4002.14.
