| 03/22/2018 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. A drain tempering kit will be required; regardless of the pipe material, the water temperature must be lower than 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The dishwasher is required to discharge through a grease interceptor. [Initial comment: Provide a drain water tempering kit for the dishwasher (Hobart model LXeH) to ensure that the discharge from the dishwasher will be 140 degrees Fahrenheit or less. Reference: Section701.7, IPC 2012.] 2. The vent does not appear to rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the grease interceptor prior to running horizontally. Note that "horizontal" is defined as being from zero to less than 45 degrees above horizontal. Also, what is the vertical pipe shown on the riser diagram that appears to connect to the bottom of the trap of the floor sink?[Initial comment: Provide a downstream vent for the grease interceptor. Verify that all of the vents (except for vents serving interceptors located outdoors) rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the fixtures they protect prior to running horizontally. Reference: Sections 905.4 and 1003.9, IPC 2012.] 3. Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department will allow you to discharge the dishwasher through the proposed model of grease interceptor. [Initial comment: A dishwasher may not discharge through a hydromechanical grease interceptor. Verify how the discharge from the dishwasher can be accommodated with the Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department. Reference: Section 1003.3, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson.] |
