02/23/2018 | DAN SANTA CRUZ | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Please address the following electrical plan review comments. Also provide a written response. #1. The outdoor lighting calcs submitted for this review does not meet the requirements as outlined in the Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code the following reasons. (a) Ref: Plan sheet E-5.0, E-0.0. The statement (NOTE) at the bottom of the lumen calcs is incorrect. "No new light fixtures have been added". Plan sheet E-2.0 (lighting) shows the 'SA' and 'L8' fixtures with the symbol N next to the fixtures. Per the symbol legend, the N means new item. (b) The section "102.4.1(2)" shown at the bottom of the NOTE is for projects "constituting 25% or more of the actual lumens for the property, not 25% less. Section 102.4.2 is the correct section for 25% less. (c) A special inspection may still be required per section 106.2.1. (d) The shielding information for the 'SA' luminaires was not included. (e) The lighting area and option, size of the parcel was not included in this submittal. Please re-review section 104.2 of the Outdoor Lighting Code for plan submittal requirements. (f) Per conversations via e-mail with all the involved personal relating to this project, Randy Grothaus (Hawkins Design Group), Armando Garcia ( Electrical Registrant of Record), Mike Forst (Sunstate Builders), Bob (Winton Architects) .There seems to have been some miscommunication as how to resolve the Outdoor Lighting Issue. #2. The Electrical Plan Reviewer will e-mail a template for Outdoor Lighting Calcs to Randy at Hawkins Design Group and copy all involved. This may help with the calcs.
