RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: DOT Review Section has reviewed the PIA Plan for Traffic Engineering. The proposed striping and signing plan requires the following change:

1. Page 11 of 31. Update the quantities chart, and descriptions for striping and sign materials.

2. Page 11 of 31. Note 3 change speed limit to 25.

3. Page 12 of 31. Add Stop sign/street name on Paseo Monte De Oro.
Remove "ONLY" sign on existing stop sign at Via Bombachas
Break in striping on Camino Bombachas at Via Bombachas required.
Eliminate striping at Via Bombachas including x-walk

4. Page 13 of 31. Add stop signs and street name signs to side streets.

5. Page 14 of 31. Remove x-walk striping.

6. Page 15 of 31. No x-walk striping

SUBJECT: La Estancia De Tucson Kolb Road/Camino Boleadoras

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, TDOT Engineering Review

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: TDOT Permit Review Section has reviewed the subject PIA paving plan and does not recommend approval at this time. The following comments need to be addressed and plans revised prior to final approval. Please include a response letter addressing the following comments and return any redlined drawings with subsequent submittal.

1. Sheet 1: Include the plan number "I-2017-0015" in the title block of each sheet.

2. Sheet 1: Include the PIA activity number "T17PI00037" on cover sheet.
3. Sheet 1: Lighten shading for proposed pavement in legend and on all plan views.

4. Sheet 2: Remove Interim section 3. Roadway will have to be completely built out to provide a east bound bike lane, accommodate drainage and reduce roadway maintenance. Construction of the sidewalk on south side of Camino Boleadoras can be scheduled to be built with the development of the abutting lots. If the proposed sidewalk will not be built on the south side at this time, provide a note indicating this.

5. Sheet 2: Revise General Paving and Grading Notes as noted on red line drawing.

6. Sheet 2: Revise General Paving and Grading Note 6 to indicate City of Tucson "City Mix" asphalt Mix #2.

7. Sheet 3, Detail 4: Reference standard detail to be modified and provide sections as called out in detail.

8. Sheet 4: Indicate that the pavement will be saw cut a minimum of 1' into existing pavement at new to existing pavement joins.

9. Sheets 4 through 7: Indicate the class of pipe for all proposed reinforced concrete pipe to be used.

10. Sheet 5 and 6: Indicate that a concrete header Per SD 213 will be placed where asphalt is terminated on cross streets. Additionally, provide object markers at road terminations.

11. Sheet 8: Indicate a minimum 2' wide pavement section at the beginning of pavement transitions.
12. Sheet 8: Provide a profile of the new and existing curb alignment along Kolb Rd.

13. Sheet 8: Indicate the placement of a survey monument at the intersection of Kolb Rd and Camino Boleadoras.

14. Sheet 8: Provide stationing, offsets and radii of curb returns for the proposed modification of the median island on Kolb Rd.

15. Sheet 8: Indicate limits and width of the proposed sidewalk along Kolb Rd.

16. Sheet 8: provide details of any proposed scour protection at the outlet of the proposed sidewalk scupper located at Sta. 21+80, LT Kolb Rd.

17. Sheet 9: Label proposed box culverts and wing walls with current ADOT standard details.

18. Sheet 9: Indicate the proposed limits of the barricade railing along the proposed box culverts.
