04/19/2017 LPETERS2 DOT PERMITS & CODES REVIEW Denied April 19, 2017

You have called out ef-2 grates for the catch basins. We have been looking to utilize more efficent grates as well as more bicycle friendly.

I believe that the 11 stormdrain pipes fall into the requirement of being part of our National Bridge Inventory. If this is the case an electronic copy of the plans will need to be sent to ADOT for review.

No further comments.

SUBJECT: Mountain View Estates Part "I", I-2017-004 - T17PI00018

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, TDOT Engineering Review

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: TDOT Permit Review Section has reviewed the subject PIA paving plan and does not recommend approval at this time. The following comments need to be addressed and plans revised prior to final approval. Please include a response letter addressing the following comments and return any redlined drawings with subsequent submittal.

1. Sheet 1: Include the plan number "I-2017-004" in the title block of each sheet.

2. Sheet 1: Include the PIA activity number "T17PI00018" on cover sheet.

3. Sheet 1: Include the projects administrative address on cover sheet.

4. Sheet 1: Per COT DOT Drafting Standards, the site map should be 1"=100', revise accordingly.

5. Provide roadway center line data.

6. Verify that all signs are placed per the PCDOT & COT Signing Manual.

7. Sheet 5 through 9: Verify that all proposed drainage and roadway infrastructures are clearly labeled and section callouts are orientated correctly, revises accordingly.

8. Per the COT Standard Manual for Drainage Design and Floodplain Management Sec. 10.9, the minimum of cover over storm drain conduits is 3'. It appears that the proposed storm drain crossings at +/- 12+31 Quite Dove Dr. and +/- 15+90 Granite Butte Dr. fall short of meeting this minimum.

9. Sheet 2 Detail 1: Per TSM 10-01.6.2.C.1.c, the turnaround pavement area shall have a minimum radius of 42' measured to the back of curb, revise detail accordingly.

10. Sheet 4 Detail 11: Indicate grate type and verify proposed grades and pipe dimensions, revise accordingly

11. Sheet 4 Detail 12: Per the drainage report summary, a 4' wide sidewalk scupper is required for concentration point 9; however, a scupper is not depicted in detail, revise detail accordingly.

12. Sheet 4 Detail 14: Per the drainage report summary, a 3 cell sidewalk scupper is required for concentration point 1; however, a scupper is not depicted in detail, revise detail accordingly.

13. Provide a supporting hydraulic analysis for the proposed catch basin for inlet 2. The analysis provided in the drainage report is for a transvers grate across the roadway.

14. Sheet 4 Detail 12: Provide headwalls per PAG Standard Detail 6.30 for culvert crossing.

15. Sheet 6: Per T.S.M. 10-01.3.3.D, relocate the proposed curb access ramp located at Sta. 16+63, LT (Quiet Dove Dr.) to be more in line with ramp across the street.

16. Sheet 7: At Sta. +/- 16+00 (Granit Butte Dr.) multiple pipe culverts are depicted in the plan and profile views while the referenced section detail 12 calls for 3 - 36" RCP's, revise accordingly.

17. Sheet 8: Callout proposed drainage structure between lots 48 and 49.

18. Sheet 8: A sidewalk scupper is depicted in the cul-de-sac at the end of Granit Butte Dr. but the submitted drainage report does not address it. Is a scupper needed here ?

19. Please Refer to redline drawings for additional comments and comment details.
