This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, please provide two sets of updated plans and calculations with a written response to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2012 International Residential Code and 2012 International Energy Conservation Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: All construction materials and components require notation without the use of colors. Archived records are black and white copies of original drawings. FLOOR PLANS: 1. Provide the names of adjacent rooms to the new construction for verifying compliance with R310 providing egress from bedrooms. The room addition may not eliminate required egress openings. CLARIFY FLOOR PLAN LAYOUT TO CLARIFY EGRESS POINT, MOVING WALLS MAY BE OPTION. SECTIONS - DETAILS: 1. Show a cross-section detail of the new exterior wall, R106 1.1. 2. Notate and specify the size, spacing and length of any (porch) ledger fasteners, R403.1.6. ELECTRICAL PLANS: 1. Tucson Electric Power requires the utility meter to be relocated from under patio roofs, TEP SR-405.10.L. ADD NOTES TO PLAN FROM TEP DISCUSSION/LETTER. 2. Show receptacle outlets at wall spaces 2' or more with no wall point (exclude door openings) more than 6' from a receptacle outlet, E3901.2. 3. Protect all new and extended interior 15A & 20A proposed outlets (except garage, kitchen, and bathrooms) including receptacles, lights and smoke detectors with combination type arc-fault circuit interrupters, E3902.12.
