01/18/2018 | ERIC NEWCOMB | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Sheet A1; Project Information; Plumbing Fixture Calculator: The occupancy classification is still listed as a "B" in both the Project Information and Plumbing Fixture Calculator. Please revise. Those issues have not been changed since the last review, and are indicated by a delta 5 which was completed on 10/13/17. My previous review was completed on 12/21/17. 2. Sheet A1; Plumbing Fixture Calculator: The calculations are still indicated as a "B" use and follow the IBC Table 2902.1 for the "B" use. The addition of occupants from the patio were not added. Please calculate the fixtures for the A-2 use. Those issues have not been changed since the last review, and are indicated by a delta 5 which was completed on 10/13/17. My previous review was completed on 12/21/17. 3. General: When these two comments have been depicted on Sheet A1, bring the completed drawings into the City of Tucson Planning and Development Services Department during open counter review (8:00 to 9:30 each morning), and the permit can be approved over the counter for the Building portion. I can't promise you that the other reviewers will do that, so you might want to contact them as well. Please call Eric Newcomb at 520-837-4911 to ensure I will be available. |
01/29/2018 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | The specified water heater is a storage-type heater with a 2.7-Gallon capacity, not an instantaneous water heater. Provide a detail of the water heater installation, including the excess pressure relief, expansion tank, safety pan, and valves. Reference: Sections 503, 504, 606.1, and 607.3, IPC 2012. [Second comment: If the hot water piping is running above the T-bar ceiling (10' AFF), how can the 7' rise account for both the rise above the water heater and the drop to the hand sink? [Initial comment: Verify that the maximum developed pipe length for the hot water distribution does not exceed 50-feet. Reference: Section 607.2, IPC 2012.] |
