The Planning and Development Services activity number for this project is T17CM06734. Environmental & General Services was requested to evaluate the proposed Container Maintenance Facility location against the conditions and requirements contained in the City of Tucson landfill ordinance. The landfill ordinance requires that an evaluation of potential methane gas conditions at the subject site (Container Maintenance Facility) be conducted if the subject site is located within 500 feet of the adjacent landfill site. The southern boundary of the Container Maintenance Facility is located approximately 700 feet north of the north edge of the Los Reales landfill site. As the proposed Container Maintenance Facility is located greater than 500 feet from the north extent of the Los Reales landfill, the landfill ordinance would not apply to the Container Maintenance Facility site.
