Clarify the construction of the wall located behind the proposed Type I hood. Partition detail 2/A3 calls out 2"x 4" studs (including a 2"x 4" pressure treated plate) while the scope of work on the same sheet notes the use of "2x 4 20 GA. metal studs". Section 507.9, IMC 2012 stipulates that the walls within 18" of the hood have a non-combustible structure. 3.
