08/21/2017 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. The City of Tucson has adopted the 2012 International Plumbing Code. The use of the 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code is allowed provided an appeal to the building official is filed (see sheet TS1).
2. Verify that the existing drainage piping and fitting materials that will now be located under the proposed addition are included in Table 702.2, IPC 2012. Reference: Section 702, IPC 2012.
3. Clarify the size of the roof drain scuppers; detail 3/A2 shows a 5"x 5" scupper but the calculations on sheet A3 state that 6" wide x 6" high scuppers will be provided. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
4. Provide secondary (overflow) scuppers that are equal in capacity to the primary scuppers, prevent the depth of water on the roof from exceeding the maximum level if the primary scuppers are blocked, and shall have a terminal end point that is separate from the primary scuppers. Reference: Sections 1101.7, 1108.1 1108.2, and 1108.3, IPC 2012.

Provide sufficient detail on the drawings to evaluate the energy compliance of the additions to the building envelope. The information shall, as a minimum, include U-factors of the envelope systems and fenestration components, along with the R-values of the insulation and the SHGC for the fenestration. Reference: Sections C101.4.3, C101.5, and C103.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.
2. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the project. Reference: Sections C302.2, C403.2.1, and C403.2.2, IECC 2012 as amended by the City of Tucson, and Section 312.1, IMC 2012.
3. Show that the proposed heat pumps meet the requirements of Sections C403.2.2, C403.2.3, C403.2, and C403.3 (e.g. provide the mechanical energy code compliance certification from COMcheck). Reference: Section C303.1, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.
4. Provide structural calculations to show that the building structure will safely support the proposed heat pumps. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2012.
