| 08/08/2017 | PIMA COUNTY | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | ELECTRICAL – COMMERCIAL Submit exterior lighting lumen calculations showing compliance with the 2012 City of Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code Table 401.1. Select a commercial lighting option from the Table and provide lumen calculations in tabular form for the site area shown on sheet E2.0. The lumen total (shielded + unshielded) and the unshielded lumen total must equal or be less than the allowable lumens for each category per the selected option. The site photometric plan shown on sheet E1.1 is not in a format that indicates compliance with the OLC. Light pole base detail 2/E2.0 states “verify requirements with structural engineer provided by general contractor.” There is no light pole detail in the structural drawings. Submit structural calculations for the light pole base. If the SE includes a light pole base detail different from 2/E2.0, eliminate the detail on the electrical sheet. The interior and exterior light fixture schedules on sheet E4.2 appear to indicate that all the exterior light fixtures (SA, F1, F2, F1E) have a color temperature of 4,000K. The 2012 Outdoor Lighting Code 402.1 limits the color temperature for all exterior lighting at 3,500K. Please revise the schedules to comply. |

| 08/08/2017 | PIMA COUNTY | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | T17CM05553 - PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS Reviewer: Chris Anderson, August 4, 2017 BUILDING – COMMERCIAL To Energy Code Analysis, sheet T1.1, add glazed fenestration requirements; Fixed Fenestration maximum U value = 0.50, Operable Fenestration maximum U value = 0.65, Entry Doors maximum U-value = 0.83, and maximum SHGC = 0.25. Ref. 2012 IECC Table C402.3. A single loading dock is shown on the architectural site plan, sheet A1.1 and enlarged plan sheet A10.7. No drain at the bottom of the loading ramp is shown on the enlarged plan and details on sheet A10.10 seem to indicate three different pit draining techniques. Which detail on sheet A10.10 will be used for this facility? Please cross out the two details that are not applicable and reference the proposed drain method detail on the enlarged plan. Also, show the drain pipe routing to daylight on the architectural site plan. Ref. 2012 IBC A107.2.1. The exterior warehouse light fixture shown on sheet A10.12 appears to have a color temperature rating of 4000K. The maximum color temperature ratings for any exterior fixture is 3500K. Ref. City of Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code 402.1. A geotechnical report is referenced in the General Structural Notes and in foundation plan notes. Please submit the referenced report for review Provide structural calculations sealed by the structural engineer of record so that information shown on the structural drawings can be verified. Please make sure that designations for footings, posts, beams, etc. in the calculations are clearly keyed to the structural plans and schedules so that the plans reviewer can easily compare them to each other. |
