07/19/2017 MARTIN BROWN FIRE REVIEW Reqs Change It appears the sprinkler increase was taken for allowable area. This would preclude the ability to install a NFPA 13R system. Per 2012 IBC, section 504.1, it would have to be a full 13 system. Please revise fire sprinkler notes on sheet T1.0.
Also, it is our contention that because this is a commercial building, a commercial hood, with a fire suppression system, is required. Please confirm with the mechanical reviewer.

08/01/2017 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide a floor drain (minimum size shall be 3") for the central clothes washing facility per Section 412.4, IPC 2012.
2. For the use of PEX tubing, provide a sizing chart showing the correct size of PEX tubing to be used as a substitute for the copper pipe shown on the drawings. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 604.3, IPC 2012.
3. Verify that the vent for the kitchen sink will be able to rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rim of the sink prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2012.
4. Coordinate the required slope for the building drain. The waste calculation on sheet P3.1 calls for a ΒΌ" slope per 12" but the waste and vent schematic on sheet P2.1 calls for a 1/8" slope per 12". Reference; Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
08/01/2017 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Reqs Change Tucson Water limits a 1" meter to a maximum demand of 37.5 GPM. Verify that Tucson water will allow the use of "bathroom groups" for the demand calculations and provide a letter from Tucson Water confirming that the use of a 1" water meter will be allowed for this project.
08/03/2017 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide a minimum exhaust flow rate of 100 CFM for the range hood in the kitchen (assuming intermittent operation). Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2012.
2. Verify that the materials installed in the return air plenum around the supply ducts conform to Section 602.2.1, IMC 2012.
3. Provide energy code compliance calculations for the modifications to the building envelope; use the climate zone for Tucson. Provide sufficient detail on the drawings to evaluate the energy compliance of the additions to the building envelope. The information shall, as a minimum, include U-factors of the envelope systems and NFRC-rated U-factors of the fenestration components, along with the R-values of the insulation and the NFRC-rated SHGC for the fenestration. Reference: Sections R101.4.3, R101.5, R103.2, and R401.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.
