08/10/2017 PIMA COUNTY BUILDING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change T17CM05028 - PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS-2ND REVIEW
Reviewer: Chris Anderson, August 9, 2017
BUILDING – COMMERCIAL
Previous building comment 7 stated, in part, β€œper 2012 IBC 2512.1.2 weeps screeds shall be located at or below the foundation plate line.” The revised section 4/A3.0 shows the weep screed above the foundation plate line, which is the joint between the bottom of the plate and top of the foundation. Provide a concrete or cmu foundation curb (or other method acceptable to the Building Official) so that this Code requirement is met.
Regarding the response to previous building comment 8, whether or not the canopy LED strip lighting is an option it is not considered signage and therefore must be included on the electric lighting plan and in the outdoor lighting lumen calculation in this drawing set, in accordance with the 2012 City of Tucson/Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code.
08/10/2017 PIMA COUNTY ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change ELECTRICAL – COMMERCIAL
Regarding the response to previous electrical comment 1, the LED parapet strip lighting shown on building detail 3/A3.1 and LED Light Detail on sheet E0.1 and the LED strip lighting along canopy top edges shown on the canopy detail 6/A3.1 do not appear to have been added to the lighting plan as requested nor are they included in the outdoor lighting calculations. This lighting is not signage and must be included in the electrical plans and lumen calculations. Ref. OLC Table 401.1.
Also regarding previous electrical comment 1, the outdoor lumen calculations reflect OLC Option 2, which is that all exterior light fixtures are full cutoff type. Please confirm that all exterior light fixtures shown on plans and schedules are full cutoff. Please add note to the lumen calculation table that all fixtures are full cutoff.
