Sheet A1: Please provide a code analysis on this sheet, including square footage, occupancy classification (per IBC Section 302), and construction type (per IBC Section 602) for each canopy (list separately). In addition, indicate all applicable codes for this project. 2. Sheet A1: On the site plan, provide dimensions for the distance between adjacent canopies, and the distance from canopies to property lines (right of way). The City of Tucson allows Group U parking shade structures to be erected without any fire resistive rating, provided the vertical structural supports have a fire separation distance of at least five feet from the property line to the face of the structural support, and the roof projection has a fire separation distance of at least 24" from the property line. Indicate on the drawings the actual clearances meet those criteria. 3. Sheet A1: This project was entered as a utility occupancy classification (U) with a VB construction type. Per the IBC Table 503, the allowable area of each of these structures is 5500 SF. Canopy 4 exceeds that limit. Please verify. 4. General: Please provide written responses to all review comments. |
