#1. Remove references to the IRC. The applicable electrical code is 2011 NEC.
#2. Provide a complete one-line diagram. Include the AIC ratings of all the service equipment, complete load calcs in amps. Also include all conduit, conductor, sizes and types, grounding detail. Please consult with TEP for their approval of the service equipment configuration. As the current design does not conform with their SR manual requirements.
#3. Provide more detail for the 480/277volt panel shown on the one line. Is it a termination cabinet, or a panel (load center) ? Provide for disconnecting means for the transformer as required per NEC art. 240 and 450.
#4. Show branch circuit and panel designations for all EC's, heating and cooling equipment, crane hoist.
#5. Provide complete compliance with the TUCSON/PIMA COUNTY OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE for the exterior lighting. Can be downloaded from www.tucson az.gov/pdsd.

2. Provide a site plan that shows the size, material, and route of the water service to the building.
3. Provide a site plan that shows the size, material, slope, and route of the building sewer. Show the location of all required cleanouts.
4. Provide the rim elevation and inverts of the upstream and downstream manholes in the public sewer. Determine if the building requires the installation of a backwater valve.
5. Provide specifications for all of the proposed plumbing fixtures.
6. Provide tempered water for the lavatory using a mixing valve listed to ASSE 1070.
7. Provide a metering faucet for the lavatory. The faucet shall deliver no more than 0.25 gallons per cycle.
8. Show the gas load and developed pipe length for all of the unit heaters.
9. Coordinate pipe sizes shown on the plumbing plan and waste piping isometric.
10. Provide cleanouts for the waste piping. The size of the cleanouts shall equal the size of the pipe.
11. Provide calculations for the roof drainage. Show the dimensions of the scuppers and provide overflow protection.
12. Clarify the roof drainage for the covered work area.

COMMENTS: Please resubmit revised drawings and any redlined plans along with a detailed response letter, which states how all Zoning Review Section comments were addressed.


1. COMMENT: Zoning has done a cursory review of the building plans. At this time zoning cannot verify that the proposed development or building is in compliance with an approved Development Package. Until a Development Package is submitted for review zoning cannot verify compliance with the development regulations of the proposed use which is not clear on the building plans.


2. COMMENT: Zoning will review the building plans on the next submittal and do a comparison and compliance check with the development package.


3. COMMENT: Zoning will also not approve the building plans until all PDSD Commercial Plans reviewers have approved them.


4. COMMENT: Additional zoning comments may be forthcoming on the next building plan review that could be related to the DP.
