However, because this building is a contributor to the Blenman-Elm Contributing Historic District (a National Register historic designation), it is recommended that the applicant or owner checks with the State Historic Preservation Office about the proposed installation of solar panels to make sure they do not make the building ineligible for designation (and therefore ineligible for significant tax breaks for major renovations/improvements).
