If a review by Schneider is required, resubmittal drawings must bear their approval stamp. On stair sections, sheet E1010, the riser heights are incorrectly labeled as 11”. Please revise to 7”. Guardrails on sheets 301A – 309A show a space from walking surface to bottom rail of 7 ½” and 8 ½”. Per 2012 IBC 1013.4 guards shall not have openings which allow passage of a 4” diameter sphere from walking surface to required guard height. The guardrail shown on sheet 349A will allow a 4” sphere to pass through between walking surface and bottom rail. See comment 2 above. |
