Due to the complexity of the review and unresolved issues, a complete review of the Architectural and Structural drawings was conducted. After review of the following comments, should the registrant(s) have any questions or if clarification is needed please call to schedule a meeting to discuss. 2. Sheet 1R Code Review & Building Code Data: Code review indicates VB construction with an Occupancy Group U while the Building Code Data indicates 5A (VA) construction with an Occupancy Group F1. Coordinate and revise to provide consistency. 3. Sheet 1R Permit Data: The Permit Data denotes the project as a 15,0200 sq. ft. Tenant Improvement to an existing building rather than a 16,632 sq. ft. New structure. Coordinate and revise to accurately reference the project. 4. Sheet 1R Code Review & Restroom Calculations: In the Code Review an occupant load factor of 500 was used to calculate an occupant load of 33 but for the restroom calculations an occupant load factor of 300 was used to calculate an occupant load of 55. Coordinate to provide consistency. 5. Sheet 1R Restroom Calculations & Site Plan: Restroom calculations denote the existing building as an Occupancy Group F2 but the existing building is identified on the Site Plan as an Occupancy Group F1. Coordinate to provide consistency. 6. Sheet 1R & Sheet 3R: Originally a 1 Hour rated wall was required due to the 8' setback along the East side of the greenhouses. This requirement was to be satisfied by the existing 10' High screen wall and a detail was requested. The cut sheet provided for the screen wall is for UL Wall System U465 but the detail provided on Sheet 3R is for UL Wall System U425. Also, both systems are metal framed walls with sheetrock on both sides. Verify this is truly a metal framed site wall and update cut sheet and detail as necessary to represent the existing wall and to provide consistency. 7. Sheet 2R: The floor plan indicates horizontal sliding doors for egress and sufficient information was provided to ensure compliance. However, the electrical plans indicate side hinged egress doors and do not indicate a power source for the horizontal doors. Verify and coordinate Architectural and Electrical drawings to provide consistency. 8. Provide a Special Inspection Certificate for all required special inspections denoted on Sheet S1.0 by Grenier Engineering. A blank form was included with the submittal. Please fill in the Project Name, Project Address, Date, Permit Number, Part A and Part B of the form and submit with the plans. There were 3 copies of a list of special inspectors listed by company. This is not necessary for the submittal, only the form mentioned above. 9. General: Provide written responses to all comments which include the reviewers comment and the registrant's response(s). |
