At a minimum design flow rate of 25 GPM for a siphonic, flush-valve water closet, a 1" Type L copper pipe has a flow velocity of 9.7 FPS. Reference: Table 604.3, IPC 2012. 4. The specified eyewash requires a minimum of 30-PSI flowing water pressure for proper operation; verify that this is available. Reference: Section 605.3, IPC 2012 as amended by the City of Tucson and ANSI Z358.1. 5. Verify that the developed length of the hot water supply piping from the hot water source (i.e. a recirculating hot water system) to the furthest sink is no more than fifty feet.
