| 05/10/2017 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Demonstrate energy code compliance for the building envelope (i.e. submit an envelope compliance certificate from COMcheck) using calculations based on the current code - the note on sheet A7.3 appears to reference Chapter 8 of the 2003 IECC. Reference: Sections C101.3, C101.5, C103.2, C303, and C401.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2012. 2. Revise the heating and cooling load calculations, using the exterior design conditions shown in Section 302.2, IECC 2012, as modified by the City of Tucson. State the calculated heating/cooling loads for comparison to the capacities of the three proposed air conditioning units. Reference: Section C403.2, IECC and Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 3. Verify that the specified HVAC systems are provided with controls that are capable of automatically adjusting the start time of the HVAC equipment in order to bring the interior conditions to the desired temperature at the start of occupancy. Reference: Section C403.2.4.3.3, IECC 2012. 4. Revise the airflow rate for EF-3 as shown in the air balance schedule on sheet M-1 to agree with the balancing data shown on the mechanical plan. Reference: Section 403.2, IMC 2012. 5. Provide details showing how exhaust fans EF-1 and EF-2 and their associated grease ducts are to be installed. Include all required clearance dimensions. Shop drawings are not an acceptable substitute for sealed engineering drawings. Reference: Sections 506.3.8, 506.3.11, 506.3.13, and 506.5, IMC 2012 and Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 6. | 05/10/2017 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. An approved development plan is not to be used for construction of on-site utilities (e.g. water service to the building, building sewer, etc.). Provide a site plan showing the installation of the water service to the building and the installation of the building sewer. Reference: Sections 104.2 and 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 2. Show the route of the piping on the drawing and show the location of the can wash. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 4. Provide an automatic faucet for the lavatories, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Verify that the automatic faucet will operate for at least 10-seconds per metering cycle. Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-09. 5. The total proposed hot water capacity is 8.6 GPM with an 90 degree Fahrenheit rise but the hot water demand appears to be over 17 GPM using Table E103.3(2) and Table E103.3(3), IPC 2012. Show how the proposed hot water capacity will be able to supply the projected hot water demand. Reference: Section 607.1, IPC 2012. 6. Provide tempered water for the restroom lavatories using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012. 7.
